About the LibX Toolbar

LibX Toolbar

The LibX toolbar for Firefox and IE allows you to directly search the ACORN catalog from your browser. Instead of going directly to the ACORN catalog website, you can now do a search without opening a new tab or window. The concept behind the LibX toolbar is similar to that of the Google Toolbar Firefox extension; there's no need to go directly to the Google homepage when you can a perform a search right from the page you're currently viewing.

After installing the toolbar, you will see it located below the address bar. You will have the option of searching the ACORN catalog by keyword, title, subject, author, ISBN/ISSN, or call number.

LibX Toolbar : Search Options

You will also be given the option to search Google Scholar directly from this toolbar, with the results displaying in a new tab. Words or phrases on any website can be highlighted and dragged/dropped onto the Scholar button to search for these terms in Google Scholar.
